Natural: One national park; two state wildlife sanctuaries; nine game sanctuaries; 4,5 thousand lakes, more than 19 thousand big and small rivers; conifer and mixed forests occupying more than half of the region area; mineral water basins (18 types of mineral water ) and peloid deposits.
Historic: 12 ancient towns and villages ranked as historic; 862 state-protected cultural property sites, 248 are under federal protection.
Travel offices: more than 130 including 6 tour operators.

HOTELS – 58 hotels with 2392 rooms.

HEALTH RESORTS – 21 resorts with 3967 rooms. Specialization: respiratory, skeletal and muscular, vascular heart, nervous system, endocrine system, urinary and reproductive diseases.

RECREATION INSTITUTIONS – 21 institution including sport and tourist resort areas (incl. ski resorts), a vacation home, family recreation centers, camps.

MUSEUMS – more than 40 museums including Kirov A.S. Grin Museum (the only Grin museum in Russia), I.S. Konev house museum in
Podosinovsky district, Regional Paleonthology Museum in Kotelnich.
 
FOLK ARTS AND CRAFTS – more than 10 kinds, among them are the original Dymkovo toy and wood wart fashioning.
